What Are Full-Arch Implants?
A full upper or lower set of teeth, fixed to 4–6 implants. You may hear it called All-on-X or All-on-4-style.
It doesn't come out. It replaces failing teeth or a denture you're tired of. See all of our dental implant options.
Fixed, not removable
Permanent Dentures — Fixed Teeth That Don't Come Out
Permanent dentures — the phrase folks use when they want dentures that stay put — are a full arch of teeth fastened to implants. They are not glued in, and they do not come out at night. Only we remove them, and only at a maintenance visit.
This suits people who are done with adhesive, done covering their mouth when they laugh, and done planning meals around what a denture allows. It also suits people whose teeth are failing one after another and who want a single honest plan for the whole arch.
At your consultation we take a CT scan, do a careful exam, and show you exactly what we see. Your care is 3D-planned in-house, with your same-day teeth printed in our own lab; your final teeth are crafted with our partner lab and fitted here.

Are permanent dentures the same as regular dentures?
No. A regular denture rests on your gums and comes out daily. Permanent dentures are fixed to implants and stay in your mouth around the clock — you clean around them the way you would natural teeth.
Can my existing denture be converted to a fixed one?
Usually not. Fixed teeth are designed and made around your implants from the start. If your current denture can play a role as a temporary during healing, we will tell you at the consultation.
Do permanent dentures feel like real teeth?
They are the closest option to natural teeth we offer. They do not move when you eat or speak, and because they do not cover the roof of your mouth, taste and temperature feel normal.
How do I clean permanent dentures?
Brush them like teeth and clean under the bridge with floss threaders or a water flosser. We teach you the routine before you leave, and maintenance visits keep everything on track.

Same-day teeth means this: for many patients, the teeth are removed, the implants are placed, and a fixed temporary set of teeth goes on — all in one visit. You do not walk out without teeth. The temporary is made here, ahead of time, so it is ready on surgery day.
This suits people who cannot be seen without teeth — for work, for family, or simply for peace of mind — and whose bone is ready to hold implants firmly enough on day one. That last part is a clinical call we make from your scan, not a promise we make in an ad.

Will everyone qualify for same-day teeth?
Not everyone, and we will not pretend otherwise. The implants need enough initial stability to carry a temporary, which depends on your bone. If your case needs a different sequence, we say so in writing before you commit.
Are the same-day teeth my final teeth?
No — they are a good-looking fixed temporary that lets you smile and eat soft foods while the implants heal. Your final teeth are designed and fitted after healing, when your gums have settled.
What can I eat with same-day temporary teeth?
Soft foods while the implants integrate — think eggs, pasta, fish, and casseroles rather than steak or crusty bread. We give you a written list and bring you back for checks as you heal.
Does the same-day visit hurt?
You should not feel pain during treatment. Nitrous oxide, oral sedation, and IV sedation are all available in-office, so you choose the comfort level that suits you before the day arrives.
Coming from out of town?
Families drive in from all over. Your first visit is a consult with a CT scan, an exam and an honest plan. Before you commit, we'll map out every visit — how many trips and roughly how long each one takes — so you can plan the drive.
Design & material
All-on-X: Four or Six Implants, and the Material Choice That Matters
All-on-X simply means a full arch of teeth supported by some number of implants — often four, sometimes six, occasionally more. The X is the point: how many implants your arch needs is a clinical decision we make from your 3D scan, your bone, and your bite — never a package we sell before we have looked.
The choice you do get to make is the material. Acrylic teeth on a strong frame are lighter, kinder to the opposing teeth, and easier to adjust or repair over the years. Zirconia is harder, more stain-resistant, and has a glassy, polished look — at the cost of being less forgiving to repair. We will show you real samples and let you handle them.
At the consultation we take a CT scan, do a careful exam, and talk through implant number and material in plain language. Everything is planned and placed in-house in Keene, so the recommendation you hear comes from the people doing the work.

Is four implants enough, or do I need six?
It depends on your bone, your bite, and the arch. Some cases do beautifully on four; others call for six or more. We decide from the 3D scan and explain our reasoning in your written plan.
Which is better, acrylic or zirconia?
Neither wins outright. Acrylic is lighter and easier to repair; zirconia is harder and more stain-resistant. Your bite, habits, and priorities decide it — we lay out the honest trade-offs and you choose.
Can I change my mind on material later?
In many cases the teeth attached to your implants can be remade in the other material down the road while the implants stay in place. We talk through that flexibility at the consultation.
Why do some places advertise a fixed number of implants?
Because packages are easy to advertise. Mouths are not packages. We would rather scan first and tell you what your arch actually needs than sell you a number.

Fixed full-arch with a gum-colored base
A full arch of replacement teeth on a slim base that also replaces the contour of lost gum and bone. It is supported by four to six implants per arch and is the most common fixed design we use.
Fixed implant bridges without a gum-colored base
For patients who still have enough bone, this is a set of implant-supported bridges — typically six implants per arch — that look like natural teeth emerging from your own gums. The design is easier to clean around, but your consultation and 3D scan determine whether you are a candidate.
Snap-in (implant-retained) dentures

What To Expect
STEP 01
Consultation & 3D scan
We listen first, then take a 3D scan of your jaws so we can see bone, nerves, and sinuses instead of guessing. You will see the same images we do, and we will point out what matters in your case.
STEP 02
Your written plan
You leave with a plan on paper: the options that genuinely fit you, sedation choices, a realistic timeline, and a full walkthrough of the investment. Take it home and think it over — there is no sales floor here.
STEP 03
Surgery day
Any teeth that need to come out are removed and the implants are placed in one visit. IV sedation is available, with contracted anesthesiologists for IV cases, and most patients leave with same-day teeth.
STEP 04
A few months of healing
You wear your same-day teeth for a few months while the implants bond with the bone. We see you for checks and adjust as your gums settle.
STEP 05
Your final teeth
3D-planned in-house, with your same-day teeth printed in our own lab; your final teeth are crafted with our partner lab and fitted here. We refine shape, shade and bite with you in the chair, then set you up with a simple cleaning routine.

What actually moves the number
What Drives the Cost of Full-Arch Implants
No two arches cost the same, and any figure quoted before a scan is a guess. These are the things that genuinely move it, so you can read your written plan — or somebody else’s — and know what you are looking at.
One arch or two
Treating the upper, the lower, or both is the single biggest factor. Two arches means twice the implants, twice the lab work, and a longer surgery day. Plenty of people treat one arch now and the other later, and that is a perfectly sound plan.
Acrylic or zirconia teeth
Acrylic teeth on a titanium bar are lighter, easier to adjust, and simple to repair; they wear faster and are often the right choice for a first set or a healing set. Zirconia is a solid, dense ceramic — more stain- and wear-resistant, more lifelike, and more work to make. Same implants underneath, different material on top.
Extractions and grafting
Removing failing teeth, cleaning out infection, and rebuilding thin bone all add steps. Some of it happens the same day as implant placement; some needs its own healing period first. Your CT scan is what tells us which.
Sedation
Numbing only, nitrous, oral sedation, and IV sedation with a contracted anesthesiologist are not equivalent in time or staffing. You choose the level you want after we talk it through — it is never assumed for you.
What’s included in the quote
This is where quotes stop being comparable. Ask whether the scan, extractions, grafting, sedation, the temporary teeth, the final teeth, and follow-up visits are all in — or listed separately, or missing. A short quote is not a better deal if half the treatment is not in it.
How our written plan is built
We scan first, plan the implant positions on your anatomy, and then write the plan: every step, in order, with the numbers, sedation choices, and a realistic timeline. You take it home. Nothing is added later without a conversation, and financing is available with terms set by the lender.
What disqualifies you from dental implants?
Less than most people expect, and it is usually about timing rather than a permanent no — an active infection that needs treating first, a health condition that is not currently controlled, recent treatment that affects bone healing, or a stretch when your physician wants no elective surgery. Heavy smoking and unmanaged gum disease also need addressing before implants, not instead of them. We review your history and your CT scan and give you a straight answer either way.
Can I have all my teeth pulled and get implants?
Yes, that is one of the most common full-arch plans we do. Failing teeth come out and implants go in during the same visit, with a temporary set of teeth so you are not without them. We only recommend removing teeth that cannot be saved, and if some of yours are worth keeping we will say so before anything is scheduled.
What are the negatives of All-on-X?
It is surgery, it takes months from start to final teeth, and it asks for lifelong maintenance — daily cleaning under the arch and regular visits where we remove it and clean around the implants. The teeth are made of materials that can chip or wear and may need repair or replacement over the years, and the bite sometimes needs refining before it feels like yours. It is also the biggest commitment of the tooth-replacement options, which is why we walk through the smaller ones first.
Do you have no teeth while waiting for implants?
Almost never. Most full-arch patients leave surgery day with a temporary set of teeth attached the same visit, and wear those while the implants integrate. In the rare case where healing needs a different approach, we tell you that at the consultation — before anything is scheduled — so you are never surprised about how you will look.
